今日は強風でしたがいつものシドニーらしい青空が戻ってきました！
それにしても昨日の大雨は本当にすごかった。天気予報を信じていたので午後には止むものかと思っていたけどそんな気配はない。
雨が強すぎて、自宅にいても爆音です！ごごごごごーーーってなってる。
勉強すらやる気がうせてゴロゴロしているとメールがまたきた。

Please take care when travelling to and from campus, and if possible, consult your manager regarding making alternative arrangements such as working from home. Please contact Campus Security on ---- ---3 if you are in any difficulty or notice any damage to University property.
The Carslaw building and the Wallace theatre have been closed and there is restricted access to the Anderson Stuart, Margaret Telfer and J13 Engineering buildings.
Please take care and put the safety of yourself and those around you first. Any updates will be posted on the all company Yammer feed.

"a number of areas across Sydney may be flooded and/or inaccessible"←ここね,洪水ってなんだよ？シドニーってなんか大げさな感じと思いつつ、サボる気満々になってきたのでこのメールに便乗して大学は行かない決意を固めスーパーバイザーへ"I work from home"と連絡を一応入れておいた。

サボる私もだめだけど、これGood decisionか！？とか思うわけ。「大雨を理由に大学いかない」ってどうなの？
で、一夜開けてニュース見たら、シドニーが大変なことに。

この映像内にある、サイレン鳴らしながら消防車が撮影している道は全て自宅近所(徒歩5分圏内)です笑 ランニングでもいつも走る道。
こんな近所がニュースになっていると若干恐怖とは違う、なんか引くレベルです。歩道と道の境目もなくなるほどの洪水おこるって、本当に自宅待機してよかった。まさかここまで外が大変なことになっているとは想像もしておらず。
スーパーバイザーのGood decisionはこのことなんだと翌日になって知った私。まだまだシドニーのことをしらないなぁと改めて感じた一幕でした。
